OWNERS COMMENTS
Fairwinds is currently owned by myself, I have been using her for private use and skippered charter. In the last couple of years the interior of the boat has been extensively re-fitted. With the sale proceeds from the sale of the half share I will invest in all the items marked * above plus a full Awlgrip topside repaint and new antifouling. After the completion of these works the boat should be valued at about £100000. I am looking for one experienced yachtperson to enjoy this beautiful boat and to share in the responsibilities of ownership. In order for a new owner to be accepted as skipper by the insurance company they will need to be able to demonstrate experience in handling a boat of this size and displacement (34 tons). I intend that limited charter will be offered, about 6 weeks per year and only with myself onboard as skipper. This will generate sufficient funds to pay for the annual routine running costs. There should be 9 weeks of each season available for private use for eahc owner. More weeks charter can be accepted if agreed, the revenue will be divided 1/3 to the boat and 1/3 to each owner. The new owner will have exclusive access to the boat during his period onboard.
ANNUAL RUNNING COSTS
The annual moorings and maintenance is about £4 - 5000 but it is anticipated that this will be covered by charter and the profit divided between the owners.
